Has anybody used the fusick core support mounts? Just making sure these are the correct ones.
And just to be sure since I can't find a detail and mine were non existent, the order from bottom to top would be
Nut Washer Frame Mount Support Washer Bolt
As in the square goes between the frame and support?

I'm in concord, ca. You've been to my house, Roger.
Familyrides is working on some parts for me. Anything he doesn't have I'll send you a message.
Thanks,

Working on the front clip replacing the drivers fenders and the core support. Looking for some random parts, some sooner than others but let me know and if not right away I'll make some arrangements with you. Also if you know of a retail/repop spot for some of these items let me know.
1.Looking for a handful of fender bolts and rectangle nuts
2.Drivers Side fender and (bumper/grill?) filler/extension panels. (Have them but if for the right price I can avoid some welding and repair I'm interested.)
3.The mounting plate for a 2 speed wiper/washer combo.
4.Horn (High Note)
5.Antenna (If you know of something good that worked for you and isn't "factory" let me know)
I'll update as I come across more, thanks.

Gutting out the front clip to replace the DS Inner and Outer Fender and Core Support. Got my ass kicked by the 2 fender to cowl cage nuts upper and lower. Both opened up on me. I'm hoping I can get in the cowl with some long vice grips and bend the tabs of the upper back closed but the lower im guessing has to be cut out and welded back in. What a B%$ch!!!! Hope the pass side goes better. Soaking with some PB blaster.
Just venting.
Anyone with previous experience have any gameplan they can share or is it an "it is what it is" type situation?
Also looking for a bunch of random parts. I'll start a thread in the wanted section.
Thanks,
John

I think it depends where you saw it. Some vendors on eBay will refer to it as an olds seal. But it is the ford 460 seal if you look at the part number. There is some slight trimming to be done.

The hesitation could be from running too rich also. How do your plugs look? 4 turns out on the mixture screws would mean you would need to go up a jet size.

Great point. I'll have to look into that. It's tough here in California, but I have a buddy who works at a local Marina, I'll ask him about the fuel there.
Got the carb back on the car and added a pcv valve. But it's been over 100 degrees the last couple days so I haven't fired the car up yet.

When I was researching posi rear ends a while back I didn't find many people who had anything nice to say about the auburn.
I would take Bro's advice. If you're going to have someone do it for you at least see how much they'll source whatever parts you will need for you before you resort to eBay, etc.

I'm rebuilding it again now. Just waiting for an new accelerator pump and I can throw it back on, should be here tomorrow.
I changed the throttle body to bowl gasket to one with the "vapor vent passages" that I elaborated on a little bit on the 4gc thread below this one.

I have a question about the pcv vs non-pcv system.
Assembly manual pages 156 and 157.
On the pcv system the valve is located on drivers side piped into the throttle body and the intake pulls off passenger side piped to the snorkel.
Non-pcv the drivers side is plugged and passenger snorkel to valve covers is piped to the throttle body. I don't understand what this does. I guess alleviate some crankcase pressure and mixes with fresh air to the throttle body?
Wouldn't these two systems drastically change the performance of the a/f mixture? One is a constant feed of air into the intake, and the pcv would limit air to the intake at high vacuum (idle)?
Anyways I need to add a pcv as I'm having a lot of blow by.
Just trying to wrap my head around this stuff.

No one?
I'm trying to get the 4gc running right again.
If it doesn't I need options.

Nice post.
I've been doing a ton of research on the 4gc trying to get mine rebuilt and running better.
I've often seen the 7025150 and 7025151 misrepresented as the 553cfm carb (actually more often 515cfm), but they are the 692cfm version.
I don't know what model 4gc I have on the car but it shares all the same parts as the 7025151 other than the jet plugs in the front and has the smaller primary throttle bores at the 553cfm.
Something I've not found a lot of info on and have seen cause a lot of online arguments are the "vapor vent passages" in the throttle body to bowl gasket. Essentially these are open passages in the gasket rochester engineered to combat vapor lock problems. When I last rebuilt the carb I used a gasket without these as I thought they would undoubtedly be vacuum leaks (albeit above the throttle bores) and let unfiltered air into the intake. Well I have had vapor lock issues this summer. I am now changing to one of these updated gaskets, hopefully this will fix that issue.

Right on. I was just wondering. It's definitely a cool service those guys are providing.
Let us know how it works out.
