You can post pictures on the forum using your google drive. You already have a Google Drive if you have Gmail. Upload your pictures to Google Drive Right click on picture you want to post and click on "get shareable link" Copy the link It will look like drive.google.com/open?id=1lEDiHwOpwcwkNymwJ9oweOgrhUrNAHAkClick on "insert image" in the forum and paste link. Change where it say "open" before the question mark to "uc". It will look like drive.google.com/uc?id=1lEDiHwOpwcwkNymwJ9oweOgrhUrNAHAk
You can resize the picture in the forum after it is inserted into the post. Just click on the picture and there will be a little square in the bottom right hand corner you can resize the picture larger or smaller.

Was this an option? Never seen one before. I just bought one basically for the pcb. Didn't see it on any of the accessory codes on bros site. Maybe it's one of the missing codes?

I can read.....a little bit. Thanks though.
Having a 1967 400 block doesn't dictate the carburetor.
Just throwing out ideas.

The Rochester 4gc was the predecessor to the quadrajet and would have been the stock carb on a 65 in general.
I've never run a quadrajet.
You could have an issue with timing and/or your advance curve.

I think he's comparing a 4gc to a quadrajet. Not two quadrajets.
When the secondaries open on the 4gc it definitely feels like hitting a power band.
I think that's the distinction he's making. I'm unfamiliar with the quadrajets.

Great info.
What do you guys think of the Inline Tube repro stuff? I notice they have a kit with everything for the front discs for about 500. I can rebuild the rears, and I'll probably reline the whole system while I'm at it.
Inline tube vs right stuff?
My brakes right now are manual. Real estate for the booster seems slim. Can anyone confirm that the 11" booster fits, or do I go with a 9"?

Hey guys, I know it's slow around here.
I guess it's time to address the brakes on the 65. Haven't fired it up in a couple months and went to pull it in the garage and no brake pedal, reservoir was almost empty. No sign of leakage anywhere. Not from shoe wear. Shoes have about 25 mi on them. Filled it up, instant pedal and still no leaks. Checked everywhere except inside the cylinders so far. But no leakage on tires, etc.
Anyways.....
Im ready to upgrade the braking system. For a driver, not high performance. Disc (front)....maybe. Depends on the overall cost and time. Dual reservoir for sure. I am on 14" SSII s and I know there are some issues with certain disc kits. At minimum - a dual master, dist block, new cylinders
Looking for something "bang for buck", but not at the cost of quality. Bolt-in would be great
Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks,
John

Theoretically cooling should be a non-issue as when the car is running hot the fan should be engaged.
Unfortunately, our cars run on oil, gas, blood, sweat and tears and not so much on theories.

I thought about that. The problem is the large flange that the bolts go through on the band clamp. It's like an inch wide.
Something could be rigged up I'm sure.

I don't know about nos, but a clutch fan in general is good for an average of 15-20 horsepower.
There is a pretty good episode of engine masters where they dyno different fan setups and a fan clutch is the most dramatic hp difference.
Obviously an electric fan would be better.

I agree. I think the walker and dynomax are the same thing. Same part number anyways. I have no complaints about the band clamps at all.
Unfortunately, the u bolt is integral to the muffler hanger on the rear.

I used the middle. I'm don't think my 4gc is a 7025150 though. But it's a 4gc.

Just wanted to update.
The dof10s downpipes did not fit the stock manifolds. First the drivers side downpipe was not quite bent enough up yo the manifold. It was about 80 degrees and needed to be closer to 90 to seal correctly. The nipples on the ends of the pipe to convert from the 2.5" to the 2.25" was overflared and also wouldn't seal.
Keep in mind Pypes didn't say they fit 65.
Finally took to a local muffler shop to fix that for me. Cut em off and weld new nipples on. Was sick of laying under Jack stands messing with it.
I also got the pypes sga30r kit. It's cool, I guess. Stainless, mandrel bends, 2.5 kit. It fit, but not great. As to be expected with a kit.
The stainless is hard to clamp with ubolts from the top. Rear side of muffler for the hanger. Really hard to access bolts to torque. Broke a couple u bolts from over torquing before the ss crimped at all. Everywhere else I used band clamps (Dynomax 33226) and they are sealing good.
The tailpipes came up a little short. I put some 45 degree tips about 3" out on there to get them out under the bumper.
All in all, I would not do it again. I'll just go to the muffler shop or buy the gardener.
All in with muffler shop trip about $600.
The Pypes turbo (race pro) mufflers sound good. I'll try and upload before/after vids when I get a chance.
