Why do you want an aluminum one? For looks and weight? Or do you think they cool better?

I used urethane, but, some people don't like em'. Claim they ride hard. I had the arms powder coated, couldn't paint em' for what it cost to powder em'. Well, they did them when they did the frame and every thing else.

My 1969 "Motor's Manual" says, 1961 to 1969 F-85 is 150. It also says, except F-85 100. Now for the confusing part. There's a foot note that says 1965 should be 100. But, it doesn't specify what model. As far as rebuilding one, I had Fusick do mine, but, it was a bit pricey.

Thank's guy's,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, busy week. Mike, I should have said, it's the tiny plastic piece that the pin goes through, the holes are wore out . I did take a couple of pictures, but, it's so small it doesn't show up well. Plus,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I'm not much of a "Techie" either!!!

Just disassembled my automatic floor shifter and discovered the little piece under the handle is worn out. I suppose that's been addressed on here somewhere, but, I'm not finding it. What does one do about replacing the piece, or, making a new one? I'm not use to working with watch parts!

Anybody know if they used seam sealer all the way around on the inside of the door skin? Or do I have door's that have been redone at a body shop? I remember that they used to put it along the bottom, but, I don't recall it being used on the ends. Looks like crap, so, maybe the factory did it.

It's been a lot of years. I forgot that the more direct heat you put to "matt" or "flat" paint, it'll make it have more gloss than it's supposed to have. Thanks for the wake up call. Guess I should have known the factory didn't rub every car than came off the line.

Back in the day G.M. used lacquer paint at the factory. So, they had to rub it so it would shine. So, are door jams, deck lids, inside of the trunk and doors glossy or matte finish, like lacquer is before it's rubbed? Since, now days we pretty much use base coat clear coat paint. Personally, I like everything shiny. But, if one was doing a points judged (yuck) how picky do they get? Like with Mustangs, they deduct points if the paint's too smooth.

OH YEAH! The Foose mobile was well deserving. They made the body fit a 08 or 09 Cornvette chassie. Claimed they been workin' on it since 2008. What's 7 years and a few dollars. Hell, they got a nice trophy and a check for 10k . If ya Google 2015 Ridler, all kinds of pictures come up. All final eight were great, except maybe, the green Camaro. Any of em' where nicer than the one I don't have. Even the Camaro.

Went Friday. Not as many cars as in years past. But, still more than this ol' body could take. Legs and knees are history!!!!!! Not to mention one foot. Spent six hours walking with about a 15 minute break for a dollar cup of pop that we paid 3 dollars for.
