Are the headlight doors supposed to be anodized or chrome?

The smell of that stuff is the worst thing ever invented for an automobile. Back in the day I always managed to get it in my hair! The only way to get rid of the smell is, just time. Only one other thing in life that has to wear off and we best not go into that on this website......

I've had Instrument Specialties in Rhode Island do a couple of my radios. You also need the correct OHM speakers. And yes, it's not inexpensive. I think the last one was , like $450.00 Just for the radio. Speakers are extra.

That's kinda what I was thinking. Thanks for the tip! Probably have to go that way.......I marked and bagged everything when I took it apart years ago. Car had been repaired at some point and I don't have the gaskets. So I'm guessing that's what was used before.

Are the tail light buckets just set in "dumb dumb" or was there a gasket?

Strictly a guess...... They probably make one aftermarket trunk pan for "A" body cars. So, they want you to cut the excess off, just ahead of the brace that holds the trunk lid striker.

Wondered the same thing. Use to ask a question and would normally get an answer with some help. Doesn't happen as much anymore. Posted a question yesterday. I can understand part of the question might not be clear enough. But, when asking where the backup light harness comes out of the car, I would thing someone would know. I have simply forgotten (after 10 years) and didn't take enough pictures when I took the car apart.

The car has been apart for ever and I'm having brain fade. It's a 65 with air. I have a new engine harness and can't remember how it goes down the right side of the engine. There's three tabs in the harness, that snap into something. A bracket, or, a hole, or??? Can anyone help me out?
Also where do the wires for the backup lights come out of the car? They do clip on the pinch weld of the body behind the bumper??

Would anyone have a water valve bracket for sale? It's for the valve in the heater hose from the back of the intake to the heater core.

Wonder what type of silicone they used in 1965 that was brown in color on the ones I've recently had apart?

Silicone is a dirty word in the body shop world..... Just guessing, maybe some bad rollers on the regulator. Or, the pins they're on could be corroded. certainly some lub of some kind might help. But, I wouldn't use silicone.

Not to beat a good horse to death. But, Has anyone visited Thornton's web site and looked at their engine paint? it's interesting that they're the only one's I've found that offer the same color paint as the picture of the N.O.S. head in one of Ramz's or Bro's (can't remember which) tech stuff. Supposedly for 65 400's only.
