Has anyone used these downpipes successfully on 65 stock manifolds? I've seen them listed as fitting 65 on some sites but Pypes says they are for 68-72.
I also see flowmaster has some but not sure if they mate up with the pypes header back system that I got.
Any recommendations?

I have used the ones from torque tech (that are unfortunately no longer available) on my 65 442 with stock cast iron exhaust manifolds and they fit perfectly. They are actually made for 68 - 72

Yeah. Apparently the Flowmasters have been discontinued as well. 81093 was the part number.
I'm gonna try these pypes. I'll post back if they work out or not

Just wanted to update.
The dof10s downpipes did not fit the stock manifolds. First the drivers side downpipe was not quite bent enough up yo the manifold. It was about 80 degrees and needed to be closer to 90 to seal correctly. The nipples on the ends of the pipe to convert from the 2.5" to the 2.25" was overflared and also wouldn't seal.
Keep in mind Pypes didn't say they fit 65.
Finally took to a local muffler shop to fix that for me. Cut em off and weld new nipples on. Was sick of laying under Jack stands messing with it.
I also got the pypes sga30r kit. It's cool, I guess. Stainless, mandrel bends, 2.5 kit. It fit, but not great. As to be expected with a kit.
The stainless is hard to clamp with ubolts from the top. Rear side of muffler for the hanger. Really hard to access bolts to torque. Broke a couple u bolts from over torquing before the ss crimped at all. Everywhere else I used band clamps (Dynomax 33226) and they are sealing good.
The tailpipes came up a little short. I put some 45 degree tips about 3" out on there to get them out under the bumper.
All in all, I would not do it again. I'll just go to the muffler shop or buy the gardener.
All in with muffler shop trip about $600.
The Pypes turbo (race pro) mufflers sound good. I'll try and upload before/after vids when I get a chance.

I don't use U-bolts any more. The stainless band clamps from Walker just can't be beat. Straight ones for butt connections and stepped ones for overlap connections. The beauty is that since these don't crush the pipe, taking the exhaust apart is trivially easy, even on a daily driver that goes through snow and salt. I'll never go back.

I agree. I think the walker and dynomax are the same thing. Same part number anyways. I have no complaints about the band clamps at all.
Unfortunately, the u bolt is integral to the muffler hanger on the rear.

Unfortunately, the u bolt is integral to the muffler hanger on the rear. I've been thinking about getting rid of the u-bolts at the muffler as well (the rest of my Pypes system is welded), and replace with the band clamps. Then I thought about that rear clamp that combines the hanger. I wonder if we could still put a band clamp at the rear muffler connection, and still used the u-bolt setup for the hanger? Maybe use the next size up u-bolt? Guess it depends on the OD of the band clamp at the spot where the hanger attaches.

I thought about that. The problem is the large flange that the bolts go through on the band clamp. It's like an inch wide.
Something could be rigged up I'm sure.
