Were there 2-speed wiper motors in '65?

I did the exact same thing. I also lost my copper contact plate and the spring, found the plate, put it back together (and it sorta worked) THEN found the spring. It's all back together right now. You should be able to salvage this one if you can find the little parts.

I'd be interested in that 425 A block... Just keep it in the back of your mind...

So what's the deal with the car though? Decent price? It looks like it's fairly complete. Wouldn't mind finding a spare beltline molding set to stuff in the corner if that feared day ever comes.

I haven't used them but I have heard good things about them from many different people who have used them. Since they are close by (Van Nuys, CA) I plan to bring them my 442 dash and the dash from my little chev.

Spent this past weekend (Friday and Saturday) at the NHRA Hot Rod Reunion at Famoso / Bakersfield. Saw a lot of amazing, historical cars. The CackleFest was bad ass last night. Eyes burning from the methane... Great stuff. too bad I don't own a working camera... Skipped it today to drive over to Willow Springs and watch a friend race two wheelers. First road trip in the 442.

Wagons are cool. I had a '62 Nova, but we wont talk about that (dad GAVE it away without asking me). My neighbor put the glass sunroof / roof side glass from a Vista Cruiser (not sure what year) in a '32 Ford Sedan Hot Rod. It actually came out pretty sharp. The lines were very nice and from some angles you almost couldnt see that there was dark tinted glass on a black car. Anyways, just contributing to my less than 2 post a day average. For Oldsmobile stuff, since I'm relatively new, I'm only on here and have little to contribute.

Happy Birthday Chuckie. Is that the block in NJ that has the rust in one cylinder? (#7 I think)

Very cool. Will you be returning it to White and keeping the Red interior? That will probably look sharp. What are you going to do with the '67 425?

Swapped the cam and lifters in my DZ302 last week. I was talking to Phil from Blair's Speed Shop and he said the Comp Cams Engine Break-in Oil Additive was the best stuff to use when breaking in a cam or fresh engine. Use a whole bottle (12oz.) for break in then a half a bottle at each oil change after that. I use regular Delo 400, not the low-emission stuff, but I've also heard the Rotello still has some zinc and goodies your engine wants most in its oil, but the hippies don't want in your oil. For the cam and lifters I used Isky Rev-Lube Moly Sulphide. When breaking in the cam we did similar to what Oldspeed outlines but the cam instructions (Engle) said do NOT go over 2000. So far, so good.
As for the limited slip additive, Phil sold me Kendall Limited Slip Axle Additive Concentrate. Said it's really good. Stuff smells terrible though. I got a bottle of it, now I just need a posi.
