Is there a difference? What? 64 is Seville grain and 65 is Madrid. What does that mean. My 65 black dash and glovebox lid look like the e-bay listing. I also have an old f-85 dash which is in plastic green color and is entirely different from the black one. I know they are both 65s and both are different.

If you care about a correct part that is pretty visable, you'd want a 65 Madrid grain on a 65 car. If your 65 dash pad looks like most and don't want to spend the big bucks to get it redone, then throw in the 64 and go for it.

So has anyone used just dashes and what does it cost to get the dash and glove box door redone?

I haven't used them but I have heard good things about them from many different people who have used them. Since they are close by (Van Nuys, CA) I plan to bring them my 442 dash and the dash from my little chev.

I guess I will have to look a little closer at the graining to understand the difference. Hope I can see this at the next car show I go to that has Oldsmobiles.... Thanks for the reply, I think I understand but need to see it for myself to fully appreciate the difference.

If you could see them side by side you can see the difference. I can't do a good job of explaining the difference, but the Sevelle looks like it has bigger, deeper lines than the Madrid, if that makes sense. I tried to find a description of the two on some of the interior places, but they didn't have anything that I could find.

Thanks for your efforts, I'll have to see it in person with my own squinty eyes.

It was really hard for me to tell going by the pictures the guy posted but I too know that they are different, either way it looked pretty cherry.

Yeah, real cherry..... I bought it ;D ;D ;D ;D! It is like new, very soft, no damage at all. Excellent quality! The ONLY problem I may have is it looks too dark . My interior is red and the red on the dash I took out is more red where the sun didn't hit it and darker (like what I got) where the sun did. I looked in the assembly manual and they didn't offer maroon but red. I don't know about 64??. I'll post some pix later but any thoughts.
