Somethings fishy with that add. I e-mailed them a few days ago expressing interest. They won't give me a phone number or pictures. Somethings not right!

Blame it all on Oldsproject..............he started this shit again. Just wait till I bring up the dealer option 425's again! Pretty sure I got the only one As for the paint color, I'm gonna try supercars....... I think it was applied wrong to your board but maybe not. If it's as bad as your board, gonna reshoot it. PS glad to see RAMZ back on the board..... he was AWOL for awhile. That new ride has him tied up and brother Bubba must be back from hunt camp?

This pic is from a 29,000 mile Fremont car, which to mee is lighter than my original Lansing car. I truly think the big issue is that this was engine paint and they didn't worry that much about exact match. They most likely used paint bases that they had on hand. What I suggest is that we (meaning the illustrious members of this site) settle on one color and since there are no self proclaimed gurus coming forward with the correct color, declare it to be the one. end of story! I second that motion and will jump out in the lead. I pretty sure this is as close to original as we'll ever get ultra-hi-comp.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=downloadattachmentpage&board=general&thread=1594&post=11901

I have an unpainted engine as well with all its original paint...For what it's worth the picture of the water pump inlet looks correct. Can you post a picture?

I would say your wrong........ the original color was a lighter milkier bronze I have an engine that has never been repainted and has all of it's paint, but if I show you a picture then we can't have all this fun. Come on...... show me the money!

ARE YOU SURE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PAINTED? Don't know the history or a lot about the motor so always possible. Bought it from Chuckie. Can tell you that it looks pretty much original though. Has the original valve train, pistons, distributor, balancer, etc. Is there any irrefutable evidence of what the color should be? This is the best indication I have. Besides, the original engines probably looked psychedelic to you back in the day given everything you were into back then

Fusicks color is not even in the ballpark! I've seen the copper color on a lot of 66-67's, but the actual color is closer to Bill Hirsh's Thanks BR[] and Scotty. I took some pieces down to get hot tank and bead blasted today. Here's the water neck off a 65 400. Cleaned it up for a good view. Looks like Fusick to me

I know we've beat this one to death but which is the closest color? Last I recall, RAMZ was going to try the Fusick, any luck? Supercars doesn't look good on BR[]'s site but they tell you not to use an undercoat. Can't find the Rustoleum (Aged Copper - High Heat). Has anyone tried the VHT Burnt Copper engine paint? It actually looks pretty good in the store.
