Hey. old man, you still got a pic of my trim tag? was that 44V yours? Nada, found it, the new Botofuckit has not been kind to me. ALL my 442 pics are there and sometimes I can get them, others are gone. Still got it, still need to fix the engine. But I do have a carbed LS2 6.0 that I might toss in this year just for fun. Hired a painter so as soon as my 70 LS6 Chevelle gets painted the 442 will come back to life. I saw the guy who painted mine back in 2010 and Paul seemingly tripped on a hair drier after falling up some stairs. Karma, and me, are a mofo.

As you all know by now I’m not a computer wiz, I’m also not much of a statistician but that hasn’t stopped me from thinking about the results we’ve gotten. I’m sorry, I couldn't get the graph up properly, bottom line; first cars reported assembled in 3rd. wk. of Nov. You can see weekly totals next to the corresponding month. I don't know whether we have a large enough sampling to extrapolate anything. You can see Nov. has 3 respondents, Dec, 6 reported Lansing built cars , Jan. and Feb. only one response each, March thru Aug. looks like they're pumping them out, June and Aug. looking biggest. The problem with all that; my VIN shows the body number 31797, if I understand correctly that’s the 31797th car out of about 160,000 F85s, (not counting station wagons) coming off the line. (the 1st. 20% of total production) Now my heads are stamped with a code V024052 ,which indicates it’s the 951 car from the end of W29 production, the last 4%. Look at our Aug, total, 5 responses equate 10% of our total. So fellows we need more input, if we're to build a reliable time line, and data base. It would be good to be getting engine dates and head codes also. I feel the more numbers we can accurately associate with a given car, the closer we’ll be to seeing the patterns of time and production. Question; who has the last surviving 1965 W-29 built and when did it come off the line, and what are the dates and codes?? When production stopped will dictate when it began again for 66, etc. If we start in 65, it will help establish all of the history of the W29s. Thanks for your input.

Thank you, I'll add them to the data, let you know if a pattern begins to appear. I think that the folks that have VINs that match their PoP, which match their head code when sitting on a 'B' block made prior to the car's build date, can be considered 'real' original. I'd love to be using only that data, but I'm not getting it, so I'll do the best I can.
