So is this one an even later build or an early 65 built in 64? This is from the Cutlass/442/clone from eBay.

Well I see what we have. A 65 built as early as august of 64(late august). I have sent this guy countless messages to relist his vehicle as a clone and he refuses. Dont know what else to do.?

Id say a Lansing tavern had something to do with it.

Id say a Lansing tavern had something to do with it. Ha, that was my exact same thought. Either that or the first tag made on a Monday after a particularly good weekend.

Help me understand the sequence number. Is it the number of vehicles produced for that body style sequentially? My convert is like 2500 something and the hardtop 25,000 something. There were around 300,000 of these Cutlass/F85 produced in 1965.
What am I missing?

Body number is number of that body CODE produced to that point.
Olds made 212,000 ish A bodies in 65. Thats 4 doors, 2 doors, and wagons.

That means that your car was built either on a Mon, Tues., or Wed. I'm hoping that it was on Wednesday as they are typically better built cars. Monday cars are built by a crew that is still hung over from the weekend! I believe that it was Johnny Cash that said that!!!
