09C, 3rd week of September 1964. 1717 body number, so 1700 made before it. Looks like production did start in early September. 11C. 3rd week of November 1964. This one is a 442. Its looking like 442s were made earlier than December.

Is the body number, the sequential number for each body type? Mine is 33867 (vert), and 3580. Does that make it the 3580th vert made, or slated for assembly?

My Fremont built 442 vert:
3rd week of May, 1965
I had a procedure done to my back this week so I'm about 75% of $hitty, which is 25% of normal {what ever that is?}. So I won't be able to get the info from my Cutlass' until a later time when I'm feeling and moving better.

So far its looking like production of the 442 did start later than the rest of the A body line. From my own experience and if what Wayne found is true, I can see the first built 442s being held before being shipped to dealers. So maybe those mid November cars were built and held before being released to dealers in December.
We need more 442s for comparison.

2nd week August (08B), LAN38000 body #, holiday coupe I find it hard to believe we could have this big of a gap in production numbers in just one week. How you jump to 38000 baffles me. Are you absolutely, positively, beyond a shadow of a doubt, 100% sure its not 33000?Jeff's vert production number 1841, show the numbers were low in DecemberAfter looking thru a shit load of dataplates.... 11B is as far back as I can find a 442! Look What WalinWayne Started.

Its looking like mid November is when 442 production started. And Jeff probably has one of the first verts built. How many of those 1841 verts were 442s? Cant be many if production of verts started in September and 442s started a few weeks before his was made. Id say his may be one of the first few built.

My red car was the 2449 hardtop built at Fremont. It was built in March of 65. Thats the 7th month of production and less than 2500 hardtops had been built.
Bro, your post was number 1572, how many of those were 442s???

By looking at the condition of it I think I would have to agree with you, in fact it was probably one they used for salt spray testing and decided to sell it instead of crushing it. I've been on the computer so much at work I have absolutely no ambition to play at home, and if I do it seems my creative responses are so blunted I just troll.
