Maybe also separate out the Cutlass/F-85,and 442s,each with its own section? Then subsections under each, buckets or bench, coupe or post, etc. Then each person could have an entire forum based on their exact car,no time wasted looking at other peoples crap. ;-) ---bil Bil did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed or the wrong bed all together ?

I`ve, on occasion visited the other sites. Takes a little time if you only go every month or so. But even with the wide time spans, you get to know the players, read a little here, and a little there, doesn`t take long to catch up. Here`s a solution. Take a feature from eGay. Seems like there`s a few folks that are REALLY strapped for time, and think anything more than what we already have, is too much. So, have a "my favorites" section. There we could put in key words or phrases, or user names. We would then be notified by e-mail should anything were interested in gets posted. How cool would that be !! Wouldn`t even have to come to the site anymore to look. Just sit back and check your mail. OR ME, WHATEVER

Dude, change is over, it's time to move forward, get with the program will ya, and yes, some have noticed, just waiting for the balance of the forward movement, if your going to do something just friggin do it. Comments after you finish with moving forward.

All this talk about change, and nobody has said anything about the change to this forum. Noticed the change the other day while I was making a post, refreshed the page and there it was !! Thought it was just the start, checked back several times, talked with another member about it, we both thought there would be more coming, (neither of us know the nuts and bolts on how these changes are done) But, if there were other years added, it would be pretty obvious where to go for your year car. If you have a plan, regardless of the feedback, implement it. I`m guessing anything would be reversible. I think the gains will far outweigh the losses

Only till you hit the ''New Topics" button and find a ton of shit that you're not interested in, which most likely will run over to the next page. So then you have to switch back and fourth to find the topic you were looking for. You all know on the big sites it's sometimes impossible to find a topic you were reading 2 days ago.
I think if you really need a page for 66-67, which I do like both of them, the Z will be more than happy to show you how to make one and then we'll link to it from all of our sites.

In the relatively short time I`ve been here, this is only the second time I`ve used the "new topics" button.Guess I`m the dumbass, I usually just go to the homepage, where I would guess the years would be broken down.
And I don`t NEED a page for 66 67, just thought it might bring a little life to a sometimes stagnant site. Like I`ve said before, it never hurts to learn from others. Now it`s the same handful of members that post, it only takes a few posts to figure what direction a thread is going to go. The author of a thread will pretty much tell you who`ll be posting, and you can pretty much guess what`s going to be said.
Truth be told, I really don`t give a crap which way this site goes, up, down, or sideways !! Don`t get me wrong, I enjoy the hell out of it, but I`d enjoy it a hell of a lot more, if there was more !!

I don't understand the need or want to have more traffic on the site or make the site bigger. It's really OK the way it is, all sites, even big ones go through slow spells. Hell, for all we know the 265 members make up the sum total of all the 65 442 owners.
It's fine just the way it is now, don't fret so much.

Judging by the vote total Id say about 45 people really use the board. Even in anonymity people just dont care to reply to anything. This thread was started 7 days ago, and has had 1,300 hits. But only 45 votes on a major change to the forum. Whats even worse is only 17 people voted to keep it 65 only. Its not a slow spell Mike, the board is stagnant and has been for a while. My reason for asking and thinking about doing this is to inject some life into the forum. Nothing more.

I came back to my computer to see if I logged off, I didn`t, often forget. I see new posts since I was last on. Like I said the new topics button I`ve only used twice. I always go to the home page, it isn`t difficult to figure the last time i logged in, and I view topics from then on

I don`t mean to put a knife in this site and twist it, but there are times (more frequently lately) where it`s the "same ol` same ol`" day after day. I realize the posts are important to the poster, but to scroll down an entire page to see "good job" or ' keep up the good work" well there`s gotta be more don`t you think? Again I believe these to be important posts, but there getting to be the majority. If a site has no substance what`s the point. It should be entertaining, AND educational ! there`s times it`s neither.

I stand by what I said, don't fret, the forum is fine. It will only die or go away if you stop running it and even if you did that one of us would take it over to keep it going. I check in every day, most days multiple times a day, and there always seems to be a new post here or there. I don't know what to say. You can try to advertise the forum on other outlets like my suggestion to submit it to RockAuto for their newsletter. Add it to the Olds WebRing - hub.webring.org/hub/oldsmobilerocket. There are other ways to market the forum that would bring traffic to the site.

I`m done giving my penny's worth, it`s like pissin in the wind, all you do is get your shoes wet.
If you guys like the same day after day, nothing to stimulate yourselves, nothing new to learn (unless it applies to what YOUR doing) by all means, keep it like it is.
I`m just a piss-ant on the bottom rung what do I know.
