Guys you will notice that the car is still too high ( for Me ) but I think once everything is on and the car gets to bounce a little in the street with gas in it, re-torque, hopefully it will settle down. Point is take a look at some of the pictures and with the GM B-body 7 inch rims and the Hotchkis B-spindle the front wheels are set inboard,

I don't know how you can stand it. I would be busting at the seams to get that car on the road! Actually, I'm busting at the seams on a regular day, but that's another story . Looks great.

Aw.... you beat me to the comment on ride height! Something like "sweet lookin' '64-version of James Garners Baja 442..." Kidding... really lovin' the car... but you need to get that ride lower so you can have tire rub like the rest of us! I will be interested to see how that does with the B-spindle conversion. So hurry up!

Ahhh, I think the ride height won't be a big deal when there is smoke billowing out of the rear wheel wells. Or you throw that thing in a turn and you stick like glue.

Billinnc that is a complete B-Spindle upgrade. If you are interested in this type of build there is alot of info on it. How does the B-spindle upgrade compare on the hub-to-hub track width in comparison to 1) stock drum's and 2) the standard 68-72 disc brake upgrades?

Would love to take the car on a 2600 mile round trip cruise to Milwaukee and back. Maybe next year. I do not know what the hub to hub numbers are, it maybe the same because I do not remember reading about it or I forgot it. The main point is the car will no longer under steer into the turns, causing the tire rubbing and loosing a lot of control. But looking at the car still sitting a little high ( for me) and there is 205's in the front the tires and wheel s do look more "tucked in" I will have the car home in 3 weeks or so I can measure the difference between the 64 and the 67 with the 68-72 disc brake upgrade. the 67 does rub in the turns but I think it's more of the low stance and the 235's in the front.

No sir the air cleaner is sitting in the floor. I would really like to get it to fit at some point. When I get her home I have a few challenges: build the transmission lines to the radiator, pick out a master cylinder and build the brake lines to the distribution block, get a drive shaft built, get a wiring harness and other electrical to work under the hood, build a fuel line and install the gas tank. Xtremejr do you live in the Milwaukee area? If so is there other members in this club that also live near by? I would to fly to Milwaukee this summer and meet some of you guys. I know in Kenosha there is a huge car show Labor Day weekend at the end of summer. That could be a nice meeting point.

Rob, i just spent the last hour reading this whole thread, love the car! I worried about the air cleaner issue, i modified my motor mounts to move the engine down as far as it would go and had to trim the hood brace a little to keep it from rubbing. You could always opt for a toro intake, there is no big penalty except for weight. The toro intake lowers the carb down quite a bit, i think i have one or two in the garage.

Are your front tires rubbing? I used an ECI (i think) narrow track disc brake set up on mine, moves the front wheels in 1/2" over the drum set up and over 1" over the 68-72 disc set up. With mine lowered in the front as much as it is it is, it was the only was i could make mine steer without killing the fenders.
