Question for anyone with tilt. My horn has never worked.
Today I took the tilt wheel off and it looks like the canceling pin on the wheel somehow hooked onto the ground wire on the contact plate snapping it and breaking a piece off of the plastic plate housing. Anyone have a NOS ground plate/wire or a used one? Im guessing that these are Olds only... sigh...

Would probably work well for putting broken AT shifter ears back on

Looks like a ribbon harness for a pw car. That's not easy to find.

Just saw this. If you have repro panels they have knock out plugs I believe. I think they did anyway when I did my Cutlass change over. I will take some pics of the 442 this weekend and post them

Did the front myself using butyl just cause I hate to farm anything out... Had a shop do the rears with urethane... less stress and cheap to have someone else do it.

They probably overpaid for the restoration but that is not your problem. As for the trunk, If you are lucky it might clean up with a fibre disc. Then treat the metal and spray it with epoxy primer followed by a good urethane top coat. That should keep it forever from rusting. I wouldn't sand blast unless it looks real good. you might blow through some thin areas.

You gotta love it when people go through all the trouble with body work/paint and cant even bother to clean up the trunk floor and hit it with a good epoxy.

I have one of those tail panels. Slightly bent. Just enough to be annoying. Its a spare and I was thinking of heating it from the back side (carefully) to see if it would come back enough. Of course I don't want a puddle of pot metal on the floor so Im still a little chicken to try it...

Good price on the aftermarket setup and nice look. Wish they had that 15 yrs ago when I converted my Cutlass to factory AC. What a PITA
