what the hell could possibly cost $1400? I think I'd look for another frame shop, just for comparison. Hey Jeffy, what are the numbers on the left rear of that frame? $1400, ouch! With that kind of tweaking, I don't know I would even want to mess with it even if they could fix it cheaper. It's also kind of tough to straighten a frame to specs and the bolt the body and suspension back on. I can tell you from experience working in bodyshops that can have its challenges. If Jasen keeps finding $500 frames, that's the way to go. I'll keep looking around here.

Jasen: How the hell do you search for these frames in different cities? Is there a way to search all of CL nationwide? I can't seem to find a way to do that. www.jaxed.com/cgi-bin/mash.cgi

Redford Frame Shop is getting ready to open for business. We are currently just mocking up our frame machine but hopefully will be ready for business soon. Two six by 10 H beams with a 3/16 plate welded on the top of both(old door headers). I will try to get some inexpensive 1x5x8 inch plate this week to replace the 5 in wood spacers between the beam and the frame. Not that I'm worried about the wood but when I start moving the frame (straighten) the wood might move under the stress. The steel plates I can weld onto the beams. So far investment is a Sunday afternoon with a buddy who doesn't stop talking and $10.00 in gas.

Hell no, there ain't no money, there will be a revision coming, two more short I beams to take the place of the wood on the floor, square it all up and weld it together, nice and sturdy like. Just have to go down to the getto tomorrow and pick them up.

That's right Ramz your not the one doesn't stop talking but your also not the one with all the free I beams, here are the pictures of the new(no more wood) and improved frame machine. Also a picture of the frame wooop remover, that is done and the rail is straight, tomorrow we'll try to get ride of the inboard woop to make the passenger rail nice and straight. After pulling down more than double what I needed to make it straight and having it flex back in position I got the blue tip out once I over bowed about a half inch and got her nice and red, let it cool and it is now nice and flat.

It's getting there, every thing I fix I have to make custom jigs for so it takes a while, especially when your doing it by yourself, I tend to putz and am basically broke so I then become cheap, so everything I use is scrounged or made.

Well, after a pack of Camel's and a quart of Diet Pepsi we once again have a one piece frame. The frame machine short lifespan is coming to an end. Still have a lot of welding to do but it's in one piece.

Pics, when I'm done welding, and I don't read the Detroit rags anymore so that would be a wast of time. You got to be kidding right, whoever wants to fix their frame I have a hand built Manual machine that will be for sale soon(for sale or at the recyclers) the rest is up to your imagination. ;D honestly I wouldn't know where to start. It took a lot of sitting, smoking, and contemplation to finish this, and if I charged what the hourly rate is at the frame shop I still think I did it cheaper than what they wanted.
