Gets hot right now. New T stat and a oil change are next. After that maybe a radiator.
Did find a NOS or slightly used vinyl floor covering. Red to boot. Havent seen it so it may not be true.

Flushed out the motor and radiator, replaced the t-stat twice, and it runs 170. Put in a good NAPA stat and it didnt do shit. Second one worked. Nothing like doing a messy job twice. Drove it to a local charity car show and people were all over it. Parked next to my friends 63 421 Catalina and my dads 58 Vette. The coupe got all the looks. Some extra parts I had laying around. Air cleaner back up deletes

I wasnt even looking, figured no way Id find one. I was going to put carpet in it. My dad has coffee in the mornings with some other retired hot rodders. Told one of them about the car, he says he knows a guy that has the right floor mat for it. Dad tells me, I say if its really true (yeah right) Ill take it. Well, it was true. All the holes are molded into it. Slits for the seat tracks

Paint color options are narrowed a little, but having the correct matt is worth it. That`s the way to find things, great story, great find, congrats

Yeah, heard alot about it but no evidence of its existence.

I`m not much of a picture guy, I`m almost embarrassed to post a pic on here, everyone has shiny stuff all over there cars, even RAM Z`s "new find" has more than mine does. And I`m sure everyone would be thrilled that I took a factory 4 speed and turned it auto. Also I lean toward functionality, rather than correctness. It exists, it`s been seen, if only in my mind

Great freak'n score!! That is one of those great stories that having drinks/coffee someone comes up with that, geeze you lucky bas#@*d! I'm still waiting for the day when I have drinks with a guy that has an all original 65 442 that has been sitting in his mother's garage/barn since his older brother went to Vietnam with 6,000 original miles, a true time capsule car.
