hi been lurking here for quite a while, decided to join even tho i dont own a 442. what i do have (among my others) is a 65 cutlass 2dr holiday. nothing special. and as of last week, its finally in the garage to get redone. its been sitting at my house for about 10 years,my bro inlaws for around 2,and before that it was in kansas. i recognize a few of your names from other olds sites that i belong to. im from michigan 30 miles ne of lansing.worked at fisher body for 28 years, like my dad,his dad and his dad before him. i owned a few 65s in my time, one i bought in 1971 when i was 17. sterling poly, black roof, black interior, buckets console,330. it had no rust,no rips and no dents, perfect except it didnt run. the lady i bought it from said it just died on her one day. i put a battery in it,put my tires on it,changed the points and drove it home. for 75 bucks. i wrecked it that fall by being a stupid kid. what i want to do is build the one i have into a clone of that one, with newer upgrades. i ihave a 73 nova that i bought new in 73 that is almost finished(again). plus a 49 olds 98 that i found in a barn in tenn, 2 yrs ago. needs paint but runs perfect and drives nice. enough about me. thanks for reading my ramblings. robert
