i would think,by looking at my extra ones, that if they were only bent once and opened, they should bend one more time at least. the stainless is pretty tough.

i was wrong about the opening,i checked my original 64 and it has a cover plate that goes where the 65 is curved. does that make sense? ill try to get a lic up, along with my 66 dash and my 65. 65vs 66 curved opening different size, padding thicker. 64 vs 65 square opening with cover plate, same padding.

i see a lot of difference between that plant and the lansing plant(s). lansings were 2 separate places, bodys and interior at fisher and the frame, engine, and front clip on the other side of town at olds plant. at that time fisher had their own upholstery shop, complete with sewing machines for the seats, headliners.

from the factory the doors were adjusted to the quarter panel and the door header to roof line. if it was a post car. the front was adjusted to the door as it was installed at oldmobile and not fisher body. i would do that, door to 1/4 then shim fender accordingly. also the whole frt clip was installed as a unit.

empty doors should be lined high,so when they are loaded the weight puts them right.
