Man, I like this thing, and love the idea of the body colored steelies. Add a set of center caps to it for the sleeper vibe for the cherry on top.

I thought that you guys may enjoy this photo I found in the new Hot Rod Deluxe. Look at that ET in the caption. Ouch. Now I have to look for the March 1965 issue of Hot Rod to read the entire article.

hicomp, I run 10-30 VR1 in the 455 with a Wix filter. I would stay away from a Fram filter as I have heard alot of bad things about their filters bursting under pressure.
Just my .02 cents though.

Yeah, I WAS a member there for years, and just like you I went to login to find that my account was deactivated. No luck trying to set up another account either.

Not sure if any one here would be interested in these or not, but here you go: (1) set of Mahle 4.185" rings. New in box, not removed from packaging. $85.00 shipped in the lower 48 states. Part # 4190MS 1/16", 1/16", 3/16" Standard Tension File Fit. I bought these to use in my 468 Olds but went with a low tension ring instead. Call me at 240-421-2356 with any questions, or if you are interested, between the hours of 9:00am - 9:00pm EST. You can also PM here, or shoot me an email. I also have another set that are brand new as well, but have been removed from the packaging for mock up. I will sell those for $75.00 shipped in the lower 48.

Ooooof, that thing is like sandpaper on the eyes. I'd like to hit the lottery so I could buy it, and spend almost double the asking price to bring it back to life.

I vote black too, but white would be fine. White just gets dirty to damn fast.

I am in for (2) 2XL.
Are they just going to be white, or are you having black ones made to ? If so, I will take one of each.
$23.00 each ?
Thanks,
Rick

Let me know if a 2XL becomes available, or if you decide to make a second run on shirts.
Thanks,
Rick

Hey Stan... Hmmm, I dont remember seeing a question in regard to the missing headlights, but I am starting to show early signs of senility ;D.
Not to hijack the thread for too long, but yes, I did have it set up with air induction through the headlights before. I was using a dual snorkel air cleaner with the hoses run to it from the headlights.
I am not currently using that setup now, and intend to put the headlights back in place, but have just been too lazy to do it. Plus, I kind of like the look....

I figure I am a little late to get in on the current order , but if you do another run, put me down for (2) XXL shirts.

Love pics like this. If you go back I need a mirror bracket off a door. ;D ;D Ramz, I wont be able to get back down until after February, but would be more than happy to grab a bracket for you when I do make it down there. Its a 2 hour ride down for me, and you have to be in the yard before a certain time, or he wont let you in. A trip on Saturday is damn near impossible unless you are there before the crack of dawn, and know exactly what you need, and where the car is. He closes at noon, and wont come looking for you ;D

So, a buddy, and myself went to a yard in Virigina this Veterans Day just to get out, and check out if all of the cars were still there. With the prices of scrap, we figured that the owner would have been getting rid of cars, but they are all still there, but have been moved around a little bit. There are about 6-7 65' Cutlass' in the yard, including the wagon, that I had seen for the first time this time around. Therer are 3 64's in there as well, and quite a alot of other year/model Oldsmobiles. Here are a few of the pictures that I took. I will be heading back down in the early spring to possibly get myself a passenger door, and fender, and will take better pictures then. Kind of makes you want to cry to see them like this. I hope you enjoy the pics...

'Goose, I have put breathers into both valve covers, and have mounted a breather tank on the motor plate.

Been meaning to give you a call to come and check the car out up close, but you know how things can get...

Hell yeah, Chad, that is a great looking car. It is awesome that it has a story to boot. I love the way it looks with the Pro Stars on it. Thanks, I like the way yours looks as well. Are those Monocoque's on the back? I am running Bogart Fly Stars on the back, and Weld Aluma Stars on the front. I just re read the original post, and somehow missed that it had 44,000 original miles on it. Great car.
