How do you like the new eBay? Going to take some getting use to. I didn`t like the ol` eBay !! Selling international REALLY sucks now with Ebay setting up all those shipping hubs to further gouge sellers, and now buyers ! 10% final value fee, 10% shipping fee, 10% customs/handling. Time for Alibaba to buy them out and do it right. Cheap fees, fair.

Speaking of dash pads. Anything on the knock-offs that supposedly have been shipped to a select few? Or was that all smoke blown up certain body cavities like always? Trying to decide if the ones I`ve got, are worth more, or less now.
Just found the post by "Alan"
Said his dash pad was shipped to him 8/27/14

I have this same dash pad with one small flaw, but really hate dying it black so have been putting it off as that green seems to be rare, as most I have seen are black red or blue and the after market one doesn't even offer the green one. if you can even get the pad ?

Is the grain correct for 65 or 64?

I don`t know about the grain, but the 64`s I`ve seen are split at the steering column concave, and have a trim cap that cover the split. 65`s are not split
So, I`d say 65

I received the new red dash pad and glove box door from OPGI. The dash pad did have a small split, approx. 3/8" long, and an area where the vinyl did not bond to the new foam pad (air pocket on right side in the concave area). The glove box door is good work. I have returned the dash pad and OPGI is working to get me a replacement.
Will update when I have the replacement pad. The yellow car needs a black dash pad, as there is a 3" cracked are.

The point I was trying to make pertained to my post above on the construction of the frame. The 64`s I`ve seen, were split, I`ve never seen a 64 that wasn`t of the split design. Likewise, of all the 65`s Ive seen, all were minus the split

the opening for the steering wheel and the black on the dash face tell me "64" What`s the tell tale for the "opening for the steering wheel" 64 vs.65 ? oldstata`s picture looks like common 65 And the "black on the dash face" (ie. control panel) is irrelevant, 64 fits 65, 65 fits 64 trim pads. I`m interested in when they used the split dash trim pad, I know 64 for sure. oldstata`s trim pad is not split. Did 64 use a split style early, and the solid style that`s 65 style, late production? I don`t really care, but it`s something to talk about ( it`s all about commotion my friends)

As this was the deluxe 4 door Also didn't ramZ. Say it was a common are to split/ break where the hump is on his dash restro ?

i was wrong about the opening,i checked my original 64 and it has a cover plate that goes where the 65 is curved. does that make sense? ill try to get a lic up, along with my 66 dash and my 65. 65vs 66 curved opening different size, padding thicker. 64 vs 65 square opening with cover plate, same padding.
