I would carve pieces out of wood for my engine before I give a penny to MPP. My uncle spent way too much on over priced, repackaged stuff that I now own. Like the "Special" 455 Trans Am headers for $399 in 1998, what they sent were Hedman 58150 Abody headers, which even now are only $200 headers from everyone else. Nothing they have that is worth having can't be found cheaper somewhere else.

After all of my "research" it seems that Mondello, BTR, Rocket,Olds perfomrnace, and a few others told me exactly the opposite as far as a build. DAMN I'm Confused! Mainly they all want 3K for a rotating assy which I think is insane! I just cant see spending 14K for a 500 hp Big block, when i just build a 473 hp Ford small block for 6700? And that was at the rear tires, but again I had the knowledge rather that just buying parts from a supplier. Right now I am going to do the 200r4 conversion, custom true leather interior, floor shift conversion, steering column etc

You can easily build a 500hp Olds for what you have invested in that small block Ford. I have less than that in mine and I am at about 475-500hp according to my E.T. and MPH in the 1/4 mile. Where are you located?

I've got some money in my motor build, but I'm sure it's not $15k. As I mentioned, maybe Chadman, Bro, myself, and others that have higher horsepower Olds motors can share what we've done, and from there you can try to price it out using new and used parts, farming out the machine work, and doing the assembly yourself. If you don't have interest in doing it yourself, helping to put someone else's dinner on the table will of course make it more expensive.
It doesn't sound like your inclined to have someone else build it for you, based on your comment on building a small block Ford.

I sent Chadman a message but no response, I would greatly appreciate any build info/advice. I just ordered new suspension, carpet, flaming river column, steering wheel, having true leather interior done, some carbon fiber to fab a new dash cluster, etc, The motor is on stand by until i can get a better plan together, please help me with a build other than a 15K option

unless someone has a better idea, I think I should just pick up a 455 and build it, the cost alone of a 425 roller cam is insane!

I'm still trying to figure out why you want 500 hp for a weekend cruiser /show car. every horse under the hood still needs fed if your using them or not.

500 HP isnt that much, after you go through a 200R4 to the wheels whats left? 380-420 hp? My goal is to have a nice looking resto mod that i can drive with air and a muscle car look, that performs. I dont want young billy bob in his 2011 mustang running circles around me!
