Where did the ten 4 door 64 442 data come from? Were they B09's or actually supposed to be 442's? Anyone can start a rumor, with out documentation, but when it's all said and done, it's still just a rumor. I (as usuall) will have to see some shred of documentation before it can move from the BS stage to the point where it's merits some investigation. Anyone can do anything to any car and after 40 or 50 years, try to convince us that it came from the factory that way. If they can't prove it, it' worthless. The number I have always seen was 8 not 10 and they were supposed to be all delivered as police interceptors, which I took to be the B09 package and not 442's. However, I sent in a request to the GM Heritage center and we will see what we get back. OK, heard back from the GM Heritage Center, Jasen is correct, there were the 10 4-door 442's listed. Here is the info I received; -----Original Message----- From: Christo Datini Sent: Monday, July 11, 2011 10:29 AM To: fleetsuper@msn.com Subject: Re: [Fwd: Re: 1964 Oldsmobile Cutlass-442 Production Numbers] Mike, Oldsmobile built 2,999 F-85s and Cutlasses with the 442 option for the 1964 model year. he forgot to ask He wasn't needing the info, He wanted the production numbers. All kidding aside, I don't think they have that info, that would be the VIN info they were referring to. But I will ask because i did want to ask them another related question that I though of after I got the response.

I thought all the Olds production information was lost in a fire? I still have yet to determine how many 4-speed wagons were produced in 65. Last time I checked they could not tell me production numbers down to that level of detail. Wonder if I should check again?
