Sweet! Is it one of those rare 'original' 425s? My first 65 vert had a 425 in it for a while,I liked it better than the later 455,same car. I used to break a lot of stuff..... ---bil

I have a 65 425 block I'm using for the bad-boy 425 hydraulic roller motor build. The 67 400E has 65 425 heads on it ( they had a little red paint still on them when I had the 400 put together) Unless I can get these built up properly and ported to flow 300CFM for less dollars then Edelbrocks, I'm going with a new pair of Edelbrocks when the time comes.

Keep on going Stan, what color is she going to be this time around. a nice dark blue i hope, although white would be a lot easier. not doing a restoration just clean up what i can now and maybe in 5 or 10 years quarterpanels and fenders will be on the shelf and a frame off will be worth it.

Thanks Stan65 for the encouragement, I'm off this week will update progress, hoping to pull to whole chassis down to bare frame, break out the needle scalier ( what an incredible cheap tool!!) and remove the under coat/grease/grim etc. on the frame and front control arms, and start getting bids on a sand blast and powder coat. At least this should be almost the last of the NASTY RUST/GREASE AND ROAD GRIM. What a trip so far!!! My wallet is getting thin too.

You both are doing a kick ass job! I'm in the same boat as therobski, trunk pan, braces, two floor pans, rear deck filler, inner rear wheel well and two rear quarters to replace . To top it off, I've got a third car that has a better body, should have pulled a switch but oh well. Tuning up my welding skills.

They both look like good projects-nice going. And if all that was ever restored was the top dollar cars,it would be pretty boring.Although it seems that the ones that are stashed away and in real good original condition are all 4 doors It is amazing how good a car can look when you get it home,a little touch-up,maybe some buffing, fix the tear in the seat-shouldn't be bad........next thing you know there is a file of pieces, the car is stripped, the wifes car is in the driveway,it's 3 years later, and you're broke! I love this hobby! ;D ---bil
