I was trying to clean up the wiring under the dash and pulled the back off of the wiper switch. Did I lose something when it came apart? Seems like there should be some type of contact disk in this area. is anything re-poped for this?

Check ebay, you run across those once in a while, some guys here might have a spare they will sell you.

At a minimum your missing a a copper contact plate and spring thay holds it against your contact point on the base.

I did the exact same thing. I also lost my copper contact plate and the spring, found the plate, put it back together (and it sorta worked) THEN found the spring. It's all back together right now. You should be able to salvage this one if you can find the little parts.

Same thing happened to me except the guy trying to inspect my car did it. You can get a new one from Fusick, National Parts Depot, etc

Were there 2-speed wiper motors in '65?

Should there be a part number somewhere? Can't find the missing parts. I thought the wiper motor was a 2 speed. There are 3 prongs on the back of the switch.

With 3 prongs that is a 2 speed switch Agree, doubt that you'll find a new switch. I looked for months and tried several that looked close but none worked. Finally found a used one at a swap meet.
