Rare as hens teeth! ;D ;D With recent genetics research it's now easy, my wife has em . Actually found two last night. Don't know if they are any good or if he'll part but trying to work a swap. Would appreciate any other leads though.

Its pretty hard. I drove to Iowa to get mine, then found one at Homecoming for 50 bucks. Figures.

if you will settle for anything other than a B block...
i know a guy looking to get rid of a 4.185" bore 45* D block w/ARP studs and 5-main halo girdle. its freshly machined and ready to assemble...

Thanks, I've got two 425's that I can throw in if need be, ones a 65 A block (which I still say was original but can't prove it ;D) and the other is a 67 with C heads. Really looking to get a correct 400 B block though. Todd, I got your e-mail and thanks for the info on the block in Medford too. He wants my Fremont 442 project car so we are looking into a trade of parts for car.

I say put it in, who's the culprit who's going to say it's not original(other than Glenn bob) and nobody pays much attention to him.

I'd be interested in that 425 A block... Just keep it in the back of your mind...

@ oldsproj: Looks like you're fairly close to John (2Blu442) on CA. Why don't you give him a shout? He found a graveyard w/ all kinds of stuff! Ralph

Thanks Ralph, John and I are talking about swaps and trades. He has a 65 that he's been accumulating parts for and is interested in the extra one I have. We'll most likely figure something out.

It's a very small world in the land of 442's. That very same block was in my possession for many years until I traded it a year or so ago for my 66 400 E block, thanks to my now good friend Blue442 out of Medford OR. Not to go into too long a story... I acquired the 400 B block through a fellow out of Tualitin OR. named Darrell Farmer "now deceased", who was a 442 fanatic. I went to Darrells to originally buy a part off a 4 speed console for my 65. Well, when I arrived at his house to make the deal he told me that he changed his mind and that he didn't want to part out the console, Unless.....I bought the 400B Block that was sitting in the corner of his shop. I thought to my self....what a Scam!!, making me buy it only if I bought the Block?. I already had an engine that was good but not yet rebuilt. What the Hell, I bought the block thinking I would have a back up. It all worked out in the end because If I didn't buy it, I would not had had something of value to trade with Big John from Medford.(I guess the internet helps to make it even smaller world.)

Think John's a member on here, just don't know how often he stops by or what his moniker is. Be interested to find out- I check him out over on CO. Ralph
