I don't really think that 250-275 is way out for rechromed parts if their done nicely.

That guy has the highest prices on ebay. I bought a rechromed hood lip from him that was so called mint. Here is what I received. The part had pit marks and grinder marks still in it.

I sold the one I had for 40 bucks a few years ago. No idea why I did that! I still have the hood though.

Don't feel bad........before I knew any better, I gave away the short hood piece and the complete rear panel set, cause I knew I'd never use them.

Thanks for the heads-up on that seller, RAM Z. And BR[], what's with the nasty chick? Isn't this a family-safe site? Don't worry, I'm not being rude...I'm still on the hardtop team.

$250.00 is a great deal for an NOS Shorty.... I have two of them (not NOS), which I've been asking $250.00 each....

I know a lot of guys have a pretty negative opinion of Bill and Originality Plus, but I have had several very good experiences with my purchases from there. I know Jasen got screwed, but usually his rechromed parts are excellent to amazing. He also regularly comes up with some great 65 442/Cutlass parts like the redone side chrome he is selling now. I'm still P.O.'d about missing a rechromed tail panel he sold a few years ago that I thought would go for huge money, but sold for way less than any estimate I ever received to have one of mine redone.
I've purchased a set of NOS tail light assemblies, back up light assemblies and front turn signal assemblies that were perfect and look fabulous on the redone bumpers I have on my 442. I also purchased a used, NOT rechromed hood lip molding and hood spear that are gorgous as well.
I don't fault Bill at all for starting his parts auctions high, you can always come down or accept an offer at a lower price. Especially on old NOS, one year only parts like our 65 Olds'.
