I've been collecting and restoring 65 Cutlass' and my 442 since we purchased our first in 1978. I have never seen or heard of a no snorkel aircleaner that according to someone is a "rare" 65 442 4-speed aircleaner. I've also never seen or heard of this for any GM car of that vintage. Has anyone here seen or heard of an aircleaner like this; OK, can someone help this rookie on UHC post a picture to this post? Big Mike bigmikes442.com

No, I'm not looking for the aircleaner, I'm looking at a 442 parts car that the owner says he's keeping the 66 442 aircleaner on the car currently and will provide a "correct" no snorkel "rare" 4-speed only 65 aircleaner with the car. I will freely admit that I concentrate almost solely on 65 Cutlass' and 442's, I don't have nearly as much info stored in the brain cells regarding other Olds. We have a number of guys in our club and that come to our show each year with 67's and I've never seen an aircleaner like that. I have seen the tri-carb aircleaner without the snorkel, but not one for a single 4bbl carb. Big Mike bigmikes442.com

So this tri-carb air cleaner is round like the above 67 but with a three deuce base? Never seen or heard of that. Was it used on the 66 cars at all?
