And this one came with my Cutlass? That one looks like it's for a 69 Hurst olds, maybe a 68 as well. I think Fusick and a couple other places sell repros of that mirror.

The tri bar looks like an after market mirror sold in the 50's and 60's. I bought a set just like them on ebay for a friend with a 57 98.

My Dad had a set of the tri-bar mirrors on his 56 Olds 98. I thought he had them installed at the dealership.

My Dad had a set of the tri-bar mirrors on his 56 Olds 98. I thought he had them installed at the dealership. That is most likely what happened. The outside mirrors were usually an option back then and were always installed by the dealer. That's why there is confusion about the correct mirror for the year car. If the dealer had 55 mirrors left over he would use them up on the 56 and so on. This practice carried on into the early 60's.
