Tires are real confusing, I'm thinking of running 235 60 14 on rear 225 60 14 0n front. I have 245 60 14 on rear and 235 60 14 on front now,car is stock height now. Is anyone running anything like this and how is it working any input would be a help thank you. Jim

Tires are not confusing at all. What exactly is your problem? The tires you are asking about have a very small outside diameter and frankly would not be my first choice on an A-body car. The original tires on a 1965 442 were 7.75 x 14. These had a 26.70" outside diameter and a 7.75" section width. Your 225/60-14s have a Honda-sized 24.63" outside diameter (over two inches smaller than OEM) and an 8.86" section width. If you are stuck with 14" wheels, use 225/70-14s, which have the same 8.86" section width but a 26.40" outside diameter that fills the fenderwells nicely. Even your 245/60-14s are only 25.57" in diameter.

There is no problem, I was just asking what size tires other people are running and what is fitting, not what the stock size is I like my cars to ride a little lower I like that look. Everyone has there own idea on what they like, that being said thanks for the input Joe.

When I upgraded my tires, I found a chart on line that allowed me to easily find tire diameters in different high and low profile tires. It was free and very helpful. The other thing to remember is that while you may not have other Oldsmobile's around to compare with, Chevy stuff fits our cars, and you may be able to get some friends with Bowties that have the stance you like to let you try their wheel and tire combos on your car to see how they look.
Also, I find it more difficult to find good tire selection on 14" or 15" sizes. You may find it easier to upgrade to a larger rim, and lower profile tire to find more selection. Good luck.

I have 225/70 14 tires and the tires fill the wheel wells and look good. If I could figure out how to add a pic I would.
