Has anyone used the disk brake kit from "Right Stuff", sold by Jegs? It appears to be the only reasonably priced kit that fits the BOP 8.2 axle without having to turn down the diameter of the axle flange. I'd like to hear any comments you may have. Thanks.

I used there kit on a different brand car. It worked well. Bought it directly from Right Stuff. Nice people to deal with at the time and fast shipping.

I'd buy it direct as well if the price or shipping matches. -peter

I've bought a couple of the Right Stuff mini kits (directly from Right Stuff at the Carlisle swap meets, by the way). The mini kit includes the spindles, caliper brackets, and splash shields only. The rotors, calipers, hoses, bearings, and seals are available from any auto parts store (including RockAuto). Same thing with the M/C. I got the special caliper hose brackets from Inline, and the GM-style combo valves are available anywhere. I make up my own brake lines.

Thanks for the input. I am happy to hear that everyone had positive results with the parts. If I buy it through Jegs, the price is the same, but Jegs offers volume discounts on large orders, and free shipping, so the price is very competitive. My main concern was having to modify axles or do other machine work to fit the parts. Really, sincere thanks for the comments, your input has removed any concerns i had about quality.

I bought the full kit off of eBay it was the “right stuff kit” everything went together great. I bought inline tube lines all fit great. On my current project I am looking into the 98-02 f body brake up grade 4 wheel disk. So far I bought all 4 calipers with brackets and rear axle mount and cables from a local pick and pull hardest part was pulling the rear axle pin so I could get the axles out for the ebrake and bracket. Took me all of a hr I would say and 60 bucks. Still need to decide if I want to machine the drum hub for the front to fit or buy a reman hub that’s already been done. Will stil needs lines and booster/mc and valve for a 4 wheel disk that should be under 500 bucks with a bigger brake set up. This option I want to say you would have to run 16” wheels

I used Willwood's (https://www.wilwood.com/BrakeKits/BrakeKitsProdRear?itemno=140-13511-DR) brake kit for the 8.2 BOP. Fit nicely. I did use Right Stuff master and booster and all new stainless lines and everything fit pretty nicely with just a bit of tweaking.
