First I'd like to add that this is a friends of mine in Redding California, if it wasn't so far away it you wouldn't be seeing this and it would already be in my barn. He want's $8,000 for everything and he wants to sell it as a complete deal. Also included is a complete rechromed set of side chrome and air cleaner not in his email you see below. His name and contact information is below. I have quit a few more pictures but the site will only let me load three per post. If you are interested and want more pictures drop me a line and i can email them to you.
Hi Jeff,
Basically, what's out in the shop is a complete 65 Olds Cutlass convertible but in pieces and with lots of extra stuff. The frame and body have been sand blasted (I think it was a frame off job but not positive). After the cleaning i painted the underside black and did most all the body work and primed it. Sheet metal is all straight and clean. There is a little work yet on the rear panel under the trim piece. Wheel wells are all good. The new trunk panels are there but not installed. Trunk isn't horrible but had holes from sitting. The interior floor has a minor amount of rust holes. Frame is solid and had no rust issues at all. The body was all pretty clean and rust free. Dash is good, vert top front frame is good. I believe I put new brakes on it too but all are just drums. It had a power antennae setup ( which I have plus extra parts). There was no engine or tranny when I got it. Probably just a single spin rear end-not sure. There are boxes of all the parts that came off it. I had the bumpers fixed and rechromed-still wrapped in paper. All the side chrome and wheel well chrome was there. The vert top chrome is good. There is the side glass and brackets but there's no windshield. All the panels and housings for the interior coverings are there and have been cleaned and painted.
In addition to what's there for that car I have extra set of bumpers that need work, extra chrome pieces including vert top front chrome and extra rear panels. I have an original 442 400 CI engine complete and untouched. There a 65 switch pitch tranny(rebuilt) and converter but I think the shop that did the converter screwed me as I'm not sure it's the right converter now. There are two extra hoods and lots of extra brackets and other metal parts of all kinds that I had collected. There are extra parts for power antennae in addition to the stuff for the car above. I have extra dashes/parts for dashes along with the stuff for above car. There is an extra steering column ( above car was a column shift). Have a whole bunch of what I think are SSII rims. These are the ones with chrome detail rings and caps that attach with bolts from the backside. Also have extra wiring harnesses in addition to the stuff for the car above-some complete and some pieces. I know there are extra headlight assemblies and tail light tubs and lens but not sure how great they are. Also a box with extra used original headlight bulbs
Anyway, it's quite the assortment of parts and pieces that I collected years ago but everything has been inside all this time.
Would prefer to just have someone come and buy the whole batch at once so I don't have to start trying to sort everything out for individual sale.
