Is there a way to tighten the mirror lens housing to the mounting post? When I reach freeway speeds the force of the air shifts the mirror out of adjustment.

Not sure if it will work on a 65 Cutlass mirror, but some older side mirrors that don't have an exposed adjusting screw had the swivel ball mounted on a threaded shaft. Try rotating mirror face clockwise to see if it tightens up.

I think that may have worked! I probably turned it 10 times, and though maybe it firmed up a bit on the post. I've had it out on the freeway a couple times and the mirror didn't move, so your tip did the trick. Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks. I'm walking a fine line between being old enough to remember stuff like this, and old enough to not remember anything. If I get much worse I'll need to be be running for President.
