When converting to a 4 speed which hurst shifter have you guys been using. Not looking to use an original factory shifter, looking for a new style shifter that works with the factory console.

Does that work well with the factory console?

I have the Hurst Comp + and it is working with the console. When I converted my car to 4spd, Hurst told me I couldn't use the comp+ but I don't recall why. It may be that I was ordering it for my 65 car but was using a newer trans 69. The only issue I had was I was using a newer (69 and up) M21 and had to have the correct linkage arms for it. If I remember I bought the correct arms and used them with the shifter. The earlier Muncies (pre 69) had a slight difference in how the linkage arms attach to the trans.
If you want I can send you a pic of the shifter and console in my car. Just let me know your email. The one thing I will say is while my console is attached to the mounting brackets and they are screwed into the floor there is some slight movement when I put the shifter into reverse. That doesn't cause any problems though.

I have a Hurst 4sp Comp plus shifter in mine with console and 67 chrome lever. No fitment problems. Very comfortable shifting. Everything seems right.

I have the 66 442 OEM Hurst shifter and handle for mine, fits the floor and trans, handle markings not correct, has "442" and "H stamped in it.
