The Jetaway in your car has a switch pitch converter. The converter operates with a separate set of contacts than does the kickdown. The kickdown solenoid is only energized at wide open throttle. The converter solenoid is energized both at W.O.T. and at idle and small throttle openings. The switch you linked on ebay is the W.O.T. switch and sends two signals out - one to the converter solenoid and one to the kickdown solenoid. The dashpot that goes in front of this has a second set of contacts that close at idle and small throttle openings to also operate the converter solenoid. This second set of contacts has a connector that "piggy-backs" on to the converter terminals on the W.O.T. switch. You need both of these for the converter to work properly.

Thanks Joe for the information! I did not have that trans running before I received the car so I do not even know if a switch pitch converter is installed. Will have to figure it out, plus the car has now a later Model Quadrajet where the dashpot is installed different.
