NO! I didn't drive up the ramps. Friends like this picture so I thought I would share it with you guys. I jacked up the car and put the ramps under the tires. Not shown are 6x6 wood blocks under each ramp, added for safety just in case. Nice way to have the car to do the entire exhaust, if you don't have a lift. Having the weight of the car on the suspension is good to make sure you get all your clearances right. Used a complete exhaust system from Gardner. Included front pipes, their mufflers, and correct tail pipes and all their hardware. No problems. See pic for final result. Also switched to redline tires. I used the bias ply wide ovals instead of the correct 775 x 14s. I think they look better and handle better too. Now if I could only drive it. Just a few more weeks for better weather...

Do those tail pipes come with the correct chambered pipe resonators? If so, if you don't mind, please tell us what they cost. Thanks.

Yes they do, but you can't buy the tail pipes separately from Gardner unless you already bought a complete system at some point. The whole package as mentioned above was $999 a couple years ago. Here's a link to Gardner: www.gardnerexhaust.com/exhaust-systems/oldsmobile/1965-oldsmobile-442/Walt Vallelunga makes the 65 pipes separately but I don't know if he's still doing them. Maybe Bro can advise on that. I think he's in Wisconsin, not sure. I also have a pair from Walt but they're my back up if I need them someday. Walt's were something like $250- $300 for the pair. The only thing about the Gardner pipes is very minor. The chrome tip on the end does not fold into the pipe like the original or Walt's does. It's minor and no one ever noticed except me of course.
