What's a good shock for the stock 442? I currently have Koni's which provide a nice firm ride but they need replacing as the bushings are shot. Just curious what everyone is using.

Koni is about the best you can buy - and priced accordingly. KYBs are a good price/performance compromise.

Unfortunately Koni no longer seems to make front shocks for our cars, so I guess it will need to be KYB.

Unfortunately Koni no longer seems to make front shocks for our cars, so I guess it will need to be KYB. Actually, they do. They just don't show the 64-67 A-body applications in their catalogs. The first gen Camaro uses the same front shocks as the 64-67 A-body cars. Order front shocks for a 1969 Camaro. FYI, the specs on the shock are: Compressed height 9.65" Extended height 14.57" Travel 4.92"

I went with the KYB's. Koni actually sells the bushings to replace them for only $2.50, but was told by numerous sources that they are nearly impossible to replace without the correct equipment. Having Koni do it was cost prohibitive so I went with the KYB's.
