Th400 9.5 inch tail shaft? If so what is your drive line length and what rear end are you running ?

so this is the TH 400 with the long housing/tailshaft at the end.
I assume you had to adapt the position of the trans mount/cross bar and for sure the tail shaft is custom made right?

Trans mount needs to be moved back 6 inches or so holes would need to be drilled There is 3 tail shaft lengths for the th400 from factory Can't remember exactly the lengths but some thing around theses A body's 4" inch B body 9" Trucks ? 13" |

Tranny mount was moved back, and the drive shaft was shortened.

Same stock rear end. I have to go into the garage today even tho it's 15 degrees. I'll see if I can measure it. According the code on my TH400, it is from a Buick powered by a 455. I'll measure the tail end as well.

The tail on the TH400 is 9-1/2 inches. I could not get a very accurate measurement on the drive shaft, but the length of the tube part was about 51 inches.

Thanks same trans but I am going to be installing a 12 bolt olds so not sure if the length would be the same was hoping you were running the same set up so I could just run down and have mine made
