Just had the 442 inspected and while on the lift my mechanic noticed the Oil Pan was leaking. The gasket is starting to push out. I have a 455 in my car.
What is involved in replacing the oil pan gasket? I assume the engine needs to be lifted. Any tips on the procedure?
I read BRO's website and it looks complicated with all the specialty tools noted.

If you have anything except a stock pan you might be SOL, but I think you can jack the engine up and wiggle the pan out. Might have to reach in and disconnect the oil pump to get it to swing out.

Anybody had any experience either removing or installing a Milodon 7qt while in the car? Otherwise, I'll have to replace the present Milodon with a stock one & probably flex out enough of the old pan to get it out! It's got 3-4 "pinholes" in it! Ralph
