So tomorrow I'm taking my car to storage, engine is out but trans and driveshaft are still in and connected. I know this sounds like a dumb question but will it be ok to push around from time to time with the driveshaft in turning the trans. Only curious since the transmission mostly relies on the engine for support, and if I drop the driveshaft thats even less support for the tranny.

The trans will be fine pushing it around with the drive shaft attached, no worries there. I would take some wire and run it through both top bolt holes on the trans to,make a loop and then get a pipe or some flat stock and run it through the loop. I've bolted this bar or flat stock to one of the bolts on the hood hinges for added support to the front of the trans and save your rear trans mount.
