My 442 is Lansing built car from CA. it has most of the CA things a CA. car should. top hat oil cover return fuel line and vent on the filler neck side. My question is should CA cars have pcv valves in both valve cover ? My car has only a hole in the right side valve cover. Or is this setup correct for Lansing built CA. car?

Only cars with fuel return line are A/C cars. Nothing to do with California build. Being a Lansing car it was most likely sold somewhere other than California. Hole in passenger cover is for the flapper valve. California cars had PCV on drivers side and a breather on the passenger side. Fremont built but sold outstate have the Lansing flapper valve and a plug in the drivers side hole.

It's starts near the filler neck with a check valve next to it, runs over to passenger side frame rail, up the frame rail to the loop in the trunk , from the loop in the trunk back to the gas tank. I've parted out 5 cars now and this is the first car I've seen with this. Wasn't sure it's it's a CA thing or just another random thing olds did.

I'm gonna leave the fuel thing alone for now it seems to work. I have a flapper and a tube, and have a breather oil cap on the way, so I'm missing is the rubber grommet on the air cleaner, is there a place to purchase a new one?

I'm 99% sure Fusick's carries them.

I'm 99% sure Fusick's carries them. I missed it the first time. fusick has them labeled for 66-67 and in the item description says they work with the 65, so that's ordered now. Thanks big Mike

Is there a source for the flapper valve and tube to the air cleaner?
Also, should the fitting on the rear of the throttle body be capped? When I've capped it it bogs down pretty hard. Or should I add the pcv to the drivers side cover which according to assembly manual connects to the throttle body?
Car is a Fremont built car originally sold in Washington State.

So for the Lansing built cars, the passenger side valve cover gets the flapper valve, with the large hose to the air cleaner snorkel(via pipe),and the smaller outlet hose of the flapper goes to the rear of the carb?
The Drivers side valve cover should be closed (nothing)?
Does it matter if the oil filler cap is the top hat or breather type? If breather type is needed, where can you get one?

I bought a new a/c Delco valve on eBay $5.00 , tube no one reproduceing it. Pcv valve run it.
