Thanks Stan !! I feel pretty good about it cost wise I've only spent about 600.00 but we have 40-50 hrs into both quarters and trunk pan !
I left work early today but stopped by and my buddy was test fitting the chrome trim before welding it up so if all is good it should be welded / glued in tomorrow we are welding the lip area in but at the seams we are gluing to clarify . welding on top gluing on bottom of the repair

Picked up trans today now time to tear into the big block and figure out a game plan with the machine shop So I have two Bbo I am tearing into the locked up one I was told was running when pulled but it won't turn over so hopefully I can pull the heads and with luck soak it and turn her over

Well the boys and I pulled the heads off tonight. Man I think this locked up block had low miles on it no real lip at the top of the cylinder in the block but water got into three cylinders at some point Seems like a bit of slugs too hard oil deposit Well I am going to soak the cylinders for a few day maybe mix it up from oil to pb blaster If it ends up being a no go what's the best way to pull crank and pistons ? I don't care about them just the block

Wow you are really getting after it in all areas. That will be another fine post car! That PB Blaster is some great stuff, I would bet it lessons the pistons.
