Did the '65 442 have fiberglass insulation glued to the under side of the hood?

I believe it was both, glued in certain spots and held on with the clips.

Glued I have not seen. I've only seen it held in by push clips.

Clips and glue hold it up the best. They tend to sag on the sides so I shot some glue in that spot.
Now did the el cheapo F85 442s have insulation??

I believe it was both, glued in certain spots and held on with the clips. I'm just guessing, but knowing how the factory did some assembly line procedures, they used glue to hold on the insulation and the clips were used to hold the insulation in place as they moved down the line and the glue set. My 442 does not have insulation, the guy that did the work to it before I got it preferred the shiny look of gloss black. However, both of my Cutlass' had the original insulation on them when I bought them. Over the years I had to remove the insulation on both cars and they were both glued and clipped.

Thanks Guys, I have an after market one and it seems to thick. I just removed the insulation to take off the chrome trim on the hood to have it re-plated. I guess I will just glue it back on. I just wanted to make sure it belonged on the 442.
Recently I replaced the foam insulation under the hood of my Mercedes and used 3M Super Trim Adhesive and it worked great. I'll test it on the fiberglass but, i think it will work.
