I won a steering wheel on ebay this week that "only" has three cracks on along the rim. Can anyone recommend a resto package? I've found the POR kit for about $100, are there other options? Basically just mix up some epoxy putty, fill, sand, prime and paint? Can I use $10 worth of BJ weld or something similar?

You could try it in a spot and see how she looks? Or, just pony up the dough, and get the correct stuff. I do believe the Por stuff works the best, but I think Eastwood's has a kit as well that may be the ticket. Let us know how she turns out.

I have a POR-15 restoration kit I didn't use because my steering wheel was in such bad shape. If you are interested.
