As I am still going thru boxes of parts and am not an expert on these cars, so I have more questions. I have a Rochester "4 JET" that has a tag that says-7020950 and I have a Carter AFB. I know the 442's with 400's came with Rochesters but did any of them have Carters? The engine appears to have a six digit number followed by a "B" and the heads have a big"A" cast at the left end by the end exhaust port. Thanks for any help.

See Bro's web site at 442BRO.com. He has great details for the carb and all kinds of 65 442 stuff.

As far as we know the 65 442 came with Rochester's, either the 4 jet (early 65), or the quadrabog, (late model year). I have not personally seen a 65 442 with the Quadrajet but have heard that some late model year cars came with them. The most commen is of course the 4 Jet which is below in my sig.
