Need to replace the fuel tank in my 65,the ones i have found come without the neck, any one done this? Are they soldered in? What about removing the old neck with a tank that has had gas in it,or does any one know of a tank that comes with the neck a already in it.
Thanks to all phildaville

I had mine done... they had to reuse my original neck. I also had them put a sump in mine and I now use the stock pick-up location (at the sending unit) as my return line. Take it to a shop that specializes in this or radiator repairs. They can pressure test it as well. I think they charged me $125 bucks to install the neck, sump, special rubberized coating on the outside, and pressure test. I then painted it with Eastwood gas tank paint.

Cut the old neck out and take to radiator shop and they'll solder it back in the new tank.
