Just shipped 2 heads and a front bumper from Albuquerque to Kentucky by Fastenal for $100, UPS wanted $240. Made the trip in 4 business days. But their tracking and billing is not well organized at all. Buyer picked up items and store didn't even know who or what to charge. Buyer had to go in back of store and find his stuff, store clerk didn't know anything about them. Now I'm trying to ship a differential to California but can't get anyone to give me a price or bill of lading! Anyway I have lots of doors, fenders, heads etc. to sell if you have a Fastenal store near you. Can't beat their shipping prices.

I guess when you can save better than 50% on shipping, a little aggravation is acceptable. I find it hard to believe Tawnya won`t return your request for shipping charges. I don`t think I`ve ever waited longer than 30 minutes before I receive a phone call or e-mail.
Must be my magnetic personality

I have shipped with them twice and had issues both times, I think they are offering a good service but a lot of the folks at local level do not know much about the service!

Just got two front seats from CT. 50.00 and 4 days. UPS wanted 63.00 per seat. My guys were nice to work with at my local store, I was the first person who had used it, 5 minutes on the phone with Tawnya, all went well.

www.fastenal.com/web/en/22/third-party-logisticsIn the comments box ask for an e-mail quote, AND a phone quote, that way you can talk to Tawnya and if the charges seem a little high you can negotiate quickly. She`s VERY nice, fair, but not clueless.

Does anyone have Tawya from Fastenal's Phone number? I shipped a DX block out awhile back, asked for Tawnya, was told she moved up in the company, Guess you`ll have to deal with Doug ! He`s a little slower, but thorough. Doug Troke Fastenal Company 3pl Coordinator – WINO Region 507-453-8308 phone 507-494-7818 e-fax
