FRAME OFF RESTORATION usually means, it was done to perfection. That being said, why not line up the hood, bumper, put the emblem in the right location and etc when you put it back together? Look at the reflection line going down the side. The side of the 65 is basically flat, but that reflection makes it look like a 68 chevelle. One photo tells nothing.

Remind me not to post a finished project picture of my 65 for BR[] to critic, J/k BR[]. Just shows how little attention I pay to detail, all I noticed at first glance is no 442 emblem in grill, You know below "E" in oldsmobile. Never even checked to see how many bars in the head light bezels were chromed, vs how many were flat black.

Don't really care what anyone else does and believe me mine is far from most of the restorations in progress on this site. I simply thought Mecum set higher standards for the cars they choose to auction.

Not at the Friday sale. They run through anything. The Saturday and Sunday sales are better. But, It's still, buyer beware and made for T.V. But for $15.00 you can go spend the day and see more cars in one place than you care to look at.

Ok, I get it. The term restored was the joke not the car. It definitely doesn't look restored, more like freshened. The front bumper does look like it needs some attention. I tried to see what it sold for but couldn't seem to find anything and only parts 6 and 7 of the auction are on TV.
