329 is cheap, too cheap if you ask me. Ive found out you get what you pay for when it comes to chrome. And most times the cheap jobs have to be redone to make them right.

I know this is an old thread, but I was up late and looking at some of the old threads that were posted before I joined. I have a DDAP redone bumper. It is a fine bumper if you aren't looking for absolute show chrome. The one I have had to have some rust work done and to be straightened. The shiny side looks great, but again is not flawless show chrome. The back side is not pretty at all and you can see all the repair work, no attempt at making the back side look presentable. As a matter of fact, I got the core from BRO! So, if you have a bent and or peeling chrome on your bumper and you want a shiny bumper, you get a good deal for the price with DDAP in my opinion. DDAP is what I think of when folks say it's a "driver quality". Besides, a show chrome bumper will be at least $500 with no repairs. And if it gets dinged or god forbid in an accident, that's a lot of jack down the tubes. I'd rather have 2 DDAP bumpers on a car that I drive frequently and save the extra $400 for other things. The better the core, the better the finish product will be no matter who does the chrome job.

If you want your bumpers to look nice on the back you have to restore them. Apply filler, sand until smooth, prime, sand then shoot with a dull aluminum paint. The backsides will look awesome if you do this.

I've used Fini Finish in Warren, Michigan for bumpers, side chrome and other items. I've never had to send anything back and the work has always been supurb. They are expensive and you'll have to wait at upwards of 4 to 10 weeks for your pieces. www.finifinish.com/24657 Mound Road Warren, MI 48091 Phone: (586) 758-0050 Fax: (586) 758-0054
