Does it Count if you were a "65" owner?

Nick, it took me Ten years to finish this car. As soon as it was finished, I hit every car show in town. After two years of fun, I sold it to the highest bidder on e-bay for $21,600. I had about 10,000 in to it but did all the work myself. (which is why it took so long to restore)..I'm now a proud owner of a 66 and I hope it wont take ten years but if it does...so be it. It's a lot of fun restoring. It gives me Peace of mind to have a project in the garage.

Captain Opinioin and Ruler of the Old Car Religious Teachings (me) has this report concerning 66kidscar442:
1. Your 442 was done the right way. 2. The 442 just happens to be one of the coolest color choices ever. 3. I am jealous you did such a good job. 4. "It's a lot of fun restoring... it gives me peace of mind having a project in the garage." That statement is the core truth of this wonderful passion. And the fact that you are "content with what you have" shows you know how to enjoy life, instead of always looking for the greener grass. I have spent many hours wasted, always looking for the next best car...even days after finding a treasure project. I think that is great you are content with your '66. It will be just as cool.

Amen Mr. CRH, I like your reply. I worked out a deal with my wife to give me Saturday's in the Garage...in exchange for Sunday we spend time together doing what ever She wants. Only problem is, it is going to be a long time restoring it if Saturday is all I get.(which is O.K like I said before? It's just that I would like to drive it before I'm to old to drive?) I must come up with another Deal of some sort that allows me more time. Any idea's from the Guru's out there?

Chloroform maybe? Haha My old lady gets mad at me all of the time because I'm in the garage. She always seems to get over it though... Haha. She wants the car to be done, yet she doesn't understand what it takes to finish it. Oh well! My 442 is getting finished with or without her! Haha

Oh, you guys are married to the wrong type of woman, my only problem's are, too many other projects and not enough money. I put an addition on the end of my garage last year to get all my wife's wood working tools in one place, now she has her section and I have mine. Were usually both out in the garage most of the time on the weekends unless it's just too damn cold.

There are basically two ways to approach the problem. 1st GROW BALLS! or..................... 2nd Get her a classic car of her own. This one works like a charm and gets her interested in your hobby. (basically this is the "no balls "method) It worked for me.
