Thanks for the web add BR[] . My hood is a bit of an Anomoly, it is from VFN, but it's an original Steel Hood with a Fiberglass insert grafted into underside factory Bracing. It's a wonderful piece and looks almost Factory Original. VFN used the Steel Hood as a prototype to create their fiberglass units. If you would like, I can take some digital photo close ups of the underside. and top. Just let me know and I'll post them. Ted

Bud,
I'm surprised that you didn't recognize your old hood. Hope you're not missing that too.

So..Bubbasz1......just how good is that hood? Does the chrome fit from the steel hood? How about the hinges? Do they bolt right up and work? That hood would look real good on my car.
Maxx Tugg.....if I had a hood like that.......my steel one would go up for sale.

Maxx Tugg.....if I had a hood like that.......my steel one would go up for sale. Truefully, I didnt get around to putting on the chrome. But it looked like it would have fit without problems. as far as bolting on? A friend and I bolted it down loose, then shut the hood, made some adjustments. and then opened the hood, tighten the bolts and it fit perfectly!! Gaps were great, the hood looked smooth to the body lines. All the hood latches bolted right on. You have to get softer hood springs. I bought mine from a hardware store. as I stated, if the money was in my car account, I would order another one. side note: I stopped and picked the hood up(when I bought it) and talked with the owner, and he stated, that they had a decklid and hood and were looking at making front and rear bumpers.
